Certified carbon neutral.

What does it mean to be carbon neutral?

Sustainability and doing the right thing has always been at the heart of Purely Organic.

We've always been proud of our high quality, organic farming methods and our carbon neutral packaging. But for us, this wasn't enough. So we're proud to announce that we're now certified carbon neutral by the Carbon Trust. They certify to the PAS 2060 standard, the only internationally recognised standard for carbon neutrality.

We’re working with the Carbon Trust to take action to reduce our emissions and offset the remaining emissions through our support of renewable energy projects.

How we're reducing
our carbon emissions.

  • Reducing energy usage and increasing energy efficiency across our supply chain

  • Sourcing raw materials for our feed that have a lower carbon footprint

  • Introducing energy awareness training to our staff

Balancing our
remaining impact.

Our offsetting initiative

RIVAS Wind Power Project, Nicaragua

Through our support of the RIVAS Wind Power Project, we’re helping to provide zero-emissions electricity to the people of Nicaragua. The wind turbines have been placed on the shores of Lake Nicaragua, where the wind is a plentiful natural resource. As well as providing green energy, the project also provides jobs and training for people in the region.
